Twice we see a man wearing short nylon running shorts that reveal his legs and thighs. We see a drawing of a nude man from the waist up on an invitation (his bare chest is drawn). A young man wearing only a pair of flowered Speedo-type swimming briefs practices martial arts moves in a body of water (we see his bare chest, back, and thighs).
► A young woman dances at a party, runs out the door and across a grassy area while removing her blouse and bra, and then throws them away (we see only her bare back and arms from a medium and a long distance). A husband places his hand on his wife's knee - both are fully clothed in warm-up suits. A fully clothed man and woman lie in bed side-by-side in a tent discussing how many relationships they have had and he tells her that they can hold hands.

A young woman stops playing a video game to look up at a young man, and she stares longingly at him with a half-smile. A young woman wearing a tank top (revealing arms and shoulders), and a young man sit close together on the back of a bus, and he has his arm around her. A young man sleeps in a sleeping bag with his head lying on a young woman's legs inside her own sleeping bag (she is clothed and wearing a knit cap) he is holding her hand, he wakes up, stands up quickly and we see part of his bare thigh very briefly as he walks off screen and the scene ends. ► Several times we see a man and a woman lying in bed side-by-side, fully clothed and under the covers and once with the woman in a tank top showing bare arms and shoulders. ► We see a full screen shot of a young man and a young woman kissing passionately under the words "Meaty Boy" on a poster in the window of a Meaty Boy restaurant. ► On a computer screen we see the bare buttocks of someone thrusting toward a another person lying below them, and we see several images of topless adult women and "XXX" (these images are not very clear).
Like other odd romances such as HAROLD AND MAUDE, this love seems unlikely, but good acting and smart writing make it work.SEX/NUDITY 6 - A young man and a young woman (both are clothed) sit on a bed and kiss, then lie back and kiss, and he asks if she wants to have sex she agrees, they get under the covers with their clothes on, the man rolls on top of the woman, the camera pans away and it is implied that they have sex - the camera pans back to the couple, the man rolls over, lies beside the woman, she smiles and the scene ends. SHARK features characters that aren't aware that they aren't "normal." From Jarrod's mullets to his family's beloved track suits, they're a study in strange, but they are genuine and real people. As Jarrod, Clement has perfected the deadpan delivery that made NAPOLEON DYNAMITE so much fun. She's awkward and honest, sweet and completely smitten with Jarrod. Horsley's resume doesn't feature a large number of credits, but she is wonderful as Lily. However, Jarrod has more than romance on his mind, and he journeys back to his hometown to face a high school nemesis with loyal Lily in tow.Though Jarrod provides much of the film's humor, Lily provides its heart. But Lily wins his heart with her video game prowess, and the pair becomes a couple. Lily's days revolve around Jarrod's daily burger-driven appearances at her job, but, alas, he only has eyes for her perky blonde coworker.
Director Taika Waititi's debut feature centers on the oddest of couples: Lily (Loren Horsley), an outcast at the fast food restaurant where she works, and Jarrod (Jermaine Clement, FLIGHT OF THE CONCORDS), a clerk at a video game store who is completely oblivious to his dork status. Fans of cult hit NAPOLEON DYNAMITE will find much to like in this quirky New Zealand import.
